Colour Matching
FAQ's
Standard colour matches are usually completed within 48 hours, depending on the number of jobs in the queue
If a formulation is required to keep the colour on file the completion time will be extended
Yes — minimums apply for all colour matches:
- Automotive paints:Â 500mL
*** 3 layer colours require a minimum order of 500ml of each layer***
- Industrial paints:Â 1L
- Aerosols:Â Minimum of 2 cans per colour
These minimums help cover the time and materials involved in accurately tinting and matching each colour.
We do our best to get your colour as accurate as reasonably possible, but we only claim to offer a blendable match — not a perfect edge-to-edge guarantee.
Because of this, we always recommend doing a spray-out before applying the colour to the job.
We can keep your colour on file if you ask us to before we start the match.
If you think you’ll need this colour again in the future, please be sure to let us know.
Please note: Formulating colours may extend the turnaround time.
If you’re not happy with the colour, bring it back with the original sample and we’ll take another look.
We’ll do our best to adjust it, but additional fees may apply at our discretion, depending on the time and materials required to adjust the match.
To minimise issues, we always recommend doing a spray-out before application.
